US President Donald Trump and his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, will meet today with US military personnel who participated in the operation that captured Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, whose efficiency the Republican never ceases to praise.
The meeting will take place at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, with special forces soldiers and their family members in attendance, as announced by White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt.
Trump called it "one of the most brilliant, swift and efficient military operations ever conducted."
"We entered a very large and powerful military base with a group of extremely capable patriots who love our country," he said.
He also highlighted, in interviews, the use during this operation by the US armed forces of a new and mysterious weapon, which he referred to with the neologism “Discombobulator” – from the verb discombobulate, which in English means “to disorient”, “to cause disruption”, “to destroy”. Based on what he said, it is likely a system that allows adversaries’ air defense systems to be electronically disabled or neutralized.
