The Peace Board has begun its work in Washington, and the ceremony began with a family photo of the leaders of the countries that have agreed to be part of it. Among the 40 world leaders were Prime Minister Edi Rama and the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani.
While delivering his speech at the first meeting, US President Donald Trump described the Peace Board as a large and extraordinary project, which was achieved within a year.
Thanking the participating countries in the Peace Board, he emphasized that Albania and Kosovo have promised to engage with military troops in the Gaza Strip. He also announced that the US will contribute $10 billion to the Peace Board.
He said that the Peace Board is an easy word to say, but peace is difficult to prove.
The US President also took a dig at the world leaders who refused to be part of this board, saying that some are being sarcastic and others would not like to be part of it because they are a nuisance.
America's number one went on to recall how he managed to stop some of the wars, eight of them, he said, that had been going on for years, some of them over 30 years of fighting. He reiterated that he played a role in stopping a war between Kosovo and Serbia.
Trump addressed Osman, telling him that an extraordinary job had been done, while adding that if there were any problems in the future, they should simply call him.
