Catherine, Princess of Wales has sent a bouquet of yellow daffodils to the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, the oncology hospital where she received treatment during her battle with cancer.
Along with the flowers, the princess also sent a handwritten message to the hospital's patients and medical staff.
In the postcard signed "Catherine", she writes:
"With the arrival of spring, these daffodils are to tell you that I am thinking of you."
The yellow daffodils, which are a symbol of Wales and resurrection, were brought from the Isles of Scilly and were chosen as a gesture of solidarity for all those facing the disease, as well as for hospital staff.
The Princess of Wales revealed her cancer diagnosis in March 2024, following abdominal surgery. She then underwent chemotherapy, sharing only a few updates on her treatment.
In January 2025, Kate Middleton announced that the disease had gone into remission.
The Royal Marsden Hospital holds special significance in her personal history. Prince William and Kate Middleton are also joint patrons of the institution, supporting research and care for cancer patients.
The princess's gesture with the flowers and message was seen as a sign of gratitude and closeness to the patients and doctors of the hospital where she herself was treated.
