A senior diplomatic source confirmed to Al Jazeera that Tehran has received the 15-point plan proposed by the United States, but described it as "extremely maximalist and unreasonable."
Meanwhile, the speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, stated that Iran is "closely monitoring all US movements in the region, especially troop deployments."
He also warned Washington not to sacrifice American soldiers for what he called the "illusions of Israeli Prime Minister" Benjamin Netanyahu.
