Thailand has announced the achievement of an agreement with Iran to guarantee the safe passage of its oil ships through the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most important energy corridors, which has been partially paralyzed due to the conflict in the Middle East.
The news was announced by Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul during a press conference, where he stressed the importance of the agreement for the country's energy security.
"An agreement has been reached to allow Thai oil tankers to pass safely through the Strait of Hormuz, helping to alleviate concerns about Thailand's fuel supply," he said.
The Strait of Hormuz is considered a key point for global oil transportation, through which a significant portion of the world's supply passes. Recent tensions and escalating conflict in the region have caused disruptions and a significant increase in energy prices on international markets.
