Italian coach and analyst Giovanni Augimeri has made a comparison between Edon Zhegrova and Francisco Conceicao, two Juventus wingers who have stood out with their performances in the team's recent matches in the championship.
Speaking on Radio Bianconera, on the "Cose di Calcio" show, Augimeri praised the individual qualities of both footballers, describing them as players capable of creating an advantage over the opponent in one-on-one situations.
"They are certainly two enterprising players in one-on-one situations, with quality, fantasy and dribbling," said Augimeri.
However, when asked about how the two interpret the game, the choices they make on the field and the quality of their actions, the Italian made a clear choice in favor of Zhegrova.
"Conceicao probably has more energy to last longer, so to play 60 minutes, while Zhegrova is probably more of a player for the last 30 minutes, maybe because of the length of the match. In terms of quality of play, choices and ideas, I personally like Zhegrova more, because I think he has a better rhythm of play," Augimeri said.
According to him, Conceicao and Zhegrova have different characteristics and it is precisely this difference that makes both players valuable for Juventus. In particular, the Portuguese has a different physical profile and more energy to cope with a longer time on the field.
"Conceicao probably has a different rhythm, a different engine, so he could cause problems in other areas," the Italian analyst explained.
Augimeri also praised the fact that Juventus have two wingers with different playing styles, giving the coach the opportunity to change the characteristics of the attack during a match.
"There are two wingers who, during the game, first face one and then the other. They will certainly cause problems for the full-back," he concluded.
Augimer's comparison comes at a time when Zhegrova and Conceicao are receiving particular attention for their contributions to Juventus' attacking wings, with the Italian singling out the Kosovo Albanian for the quality of his play, his choices and the pace with which he interprets the action.
