United States President Donald Trump has called on his supporters to vote in the November election, urging them to consider the race as if he himself were a candidate.
"Pretend I'm running, please. Just pretend, because I'm on the ballot," Trump declared, calling for the mobilization of his electorate.
The American president also warned that, in his opinion, a Republican defeat could pave the way for Democrats to launch another impeachment procedure against him.
"If we don't win, they will end up removing me through impeachment proceedings," Trump said.
The impeachment process begins in the House of Representatives, where a majority is needed to formally impeach the president. The case then moves to the Senate, where a two-thirds vote is required to remove the president from office.
