UEFA has congratulated Albania on the occasion of its 113th anniversary of Independence. Through a post on social networks, the European football institution appreciates the country's passion for this sport and its role in organizing international activities.
"Happy National Day, Albania! A football-loving nation, you hosted an unforgettable U17EURO 2025. Now preparing to co-host U21EURO 2027 with Serbia, Albania is ready to shine again on the European stage," UEFA's congratulations read.
Albania is currently competing for qualification for the 2026 World Cup, where it will first face Poland in the Play Off semi-finals and then the winner of the Sweden-Ukraine match for a place in the World Cup.
