Inter have begun preparations for the summer transfer window and are expected to make major changes to the squad for the 2026-2027 season, after winning their 21st Serie A title.
According to "Gazzetta dello Sport", the club's owners, "Oaktree Capital Management", have made available an initial budget of 40-50 million euros for new signings, but this amount could increase if several important players are sold, including Alessandro Bastoni.
Defense looks set to be the department where the most movement will take place. Yann Sommer, Matteo Darmian, Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij are all set to leave at the end of their contracts in June, forcing the club to look for new alternatives.
Among the names being talked about is Liverpool's Giovanni Leoni, who played for Parma under Cristian Chivu last season. Sassuolo centre-back Tarik Muharemovic has also reached a preliminary agreement with Inter, although negotiations between the clubs have not yet progressed.
The future of Alessandro Bastoni remains one of the most important issues. President Beppe Marotta has confirmed Barcelona's interest in the Italian defender, however, no official offer has been received so far.
Changes are also expected in midfield, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan likely to leave at the end of his contract, while Liverpool's Curtis Jones is seen as one of the main targets to replace him.
For goalkeeper, the priority remains Tottenham Hotspur's Guglielmo Vicario, who is considered the ideal successor to Yann Sommer.
According to Italian media, Cristian Chivu is also considering a change of scheme, moving to a four-man defense. In this case, Atalanta's Marco Palestra is one of the most popular names, thanks to his flexibility as a full-back and attacking winger.
Meanwhile, "Corriere dello Sport" reports that Inter continue to pursue Nico Pazi, with the hope of transferring him from Real Madrid, as the Argentine is expected to return to the "Santiago Bernabeu" from Como at the end of the season.
