Today at 19:00, Kosovo U-21 will host Spain U-21 at the "Fadil Vokrri" stadium for the Euro 2027 qualifying match. Before the match, the Spanish Football Federation has published a poster calling Kosovo "Territory of Kosovo", which has caused strong reactions among the Albanian public.
The Football Federation of Kosovo, through president Agim Ademi, has sent an official letter of protest to UEFA and the Spanish Federation, demanding immediate reaction and public correction to this activity that denies Kosovo's sovereignty.

"The Football Federation of Kosovo, through a letter from President Agim Ademi addressed to UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin and RFEF President Rafael Louzan, has submitted a note of protest against the unacceptable action of the Spanish Football Federation, which in its official communications on the eve of the qualifying match for the European 2027, Kosovo-Spain, referred to Kosovo as "the territory of Kosovo."

Dear President Çeferin,
I hope this letter finds you in good health.
In this busy period, I would prefer to address more constructive and visionary issues related to the future of European football. However, unfortunately, I am once again forced to raise an issue that continues to undermine our representation in European competitions, which is related to the way some member associations treat our national teams.
The latest case concerns the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), which on its official social media channels has referred to Kosovo as the “Territory of Kosovo”. Such an approach denies the sovereignty of Kosovo, which is an independent state and represented by the Football Federation of Kosovo, an equal and full member of UEFA, as is the RFEF itself.
"Unfortunately, this is not the first time we have faced such behavior from the Spanish Football Federation and we consider this completely unacceptable. UEFA stands on values such as unity, respect and equality between all its members, therefore these principles must be respected not only in actions, but also in words, by each member association."
We therefore demand from UEFA a clear and immediate response to this matter, as well as a public correction and official admission by the Spanish Football Federation, acknowledging that their actions were inappropriate and contrary to UEFA's fundamental principles.
We hope and believe that the Football Federation of Kosovo will continue to be treated as an equal member of UEFA, not only by UEFA itself, but also by all other national federations.
