"Regarding the press conference held by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, we inform that our legal department is carefully examining his statements and accusations. They are currently being analyzed and the steps to be taken are being evaluated. When deemed appropriate, any position and decision taken will be announced," the Catalan club said in a statement.
The statement comes after strong accusations made by Florentino Perez, who during a press conference declared that Real Madrid is preparing a 600-page file to be submitted to UEFA regarding the "Negreira" case. According to him, it is an unprecedented case in the history of world football.
Perez also stressed that the Madrid club and its members are determined to pursue this case, adding that the allegations of alleged corruption against Barcelona are unacceptable and require clarification in all relevant instances.
