Real Madrid are having a very active transfer window this summer, not only in terms of signings but also in terms of departures. The Madrid club aims to collect around 30 million euros in the final phase of the transfer window, bringing the total revenue from player sales to around 231 million euros.
President Florentino Perez is working on the departure of three players formed in the club's academy, Antonio Blanco, Javi Rueda and Manuel Angel. In the case of Blanco and Rueda, Real Madrid has retained 50 percent of the economic rights, while for Manuel Angel it is negotiating with Almeria to sell half of his card for around 6 million euros.
Antonio Blanco, 26, currently at Alaves, has a release clause of 20 million euros. Villarreal, Real Betis, as well as several clubs from France, Italy and Germany, have shown interest in the midfielder. Real Madrid owns 50 percent of Blanco's economic rights and if the 20 million euro clause is activated, the Madrid club will benefit from around 10 million euros.
Javi Rueda could also provide Real Madrid with a significant sum. The Celta Vigo defender has attracted interest from Nottingham Forest, while his clause is over 30 million euros, after renewing his contract until 2029. Owning 50 percent of the player's rights, Real Madrid would benefit from at least 15 million euros if Rueda leaves for a fee just over 30 million euros.
Meanwhile, Manuel Angel, the 22-year-old Castilla midfielder, is very close to a move to Almeria. Talks between the parties are for a deal worth around €6m for 50 per cent of the player's rights.
In this way, Real Madrid would not only immediately collect income from these moves, but would also retain half of the players' cards, guaranteeing themselves the opportunity to benefit financially again in the event of a future sale.
