In Spain, they are convinced that Lautaro Martinez may have reached an agreement with Barcelona. According to El Chiringuito TV, there was a formal meeting last week between the Catalans' sporting director, Deco, and the Inter striker's agent, Alejandro Camano, where the parties are said to have reached a preliminary agreement.
After struggling to sign Julian Alvarez, Barcelona are looking for another big move at the end of the transfer window and Lautaro's name is increasingly being mentioned. According to Spanish media, the Catalans are ready to make a big financial effort, with an offer of around 100 million euros for the Inter captain.
In the black and blue camp, however, the situation remains unchanged. Inter have not yet received any official offer and the club's position is clear: Lautaro Martinez is considered unsellable.
Coach Cristian Chivu emphasized this in the press conference, describing the Argentine as the team's captain and a player on whom Inter wants to build the future.
"Lautaro is our captain, so we want to hold on to him because he represents everything we have been and want to be," said Chivu. However, the coach admitted that the transfer market can always bring surprises, leaving any scenario open.
At the moment, Barcelona is trying to approach Lautaro, but Inter does not seem willing to give up on their captain.
