For about two hours today, parliamentarians have been arguing with each other to show the people who loves Kosovo and the KLA leaders more.
The Socialists held the flag of the rally that is expected to be organized tomorrow in Tirana in support of Hashim Thaçi and other KLA leaders who are in the Special Court, while the Democrats have declared that they will not participate.
The latter, for their part, have raised their voices, reminding the socialists that they have more love and sensitivity for Kosovo than Edi Rama and his party. Not to mention that the usual shouting matches and scenes of fighting were not lacking this Thursday either.
At a time when Albania is embroiled in a deep constitutional crisis, there is no scene more ridiculous than that of today's Parliament, where the left and right beat their chests like great patriots and do not forgive "Kosovo".
While it would have been more normal, and out of respect for Kosovo, to spare the public opinion this sterile debate and focus on the country's pressing problems. Because love for Kosovo, regardless of whether it has anything to do with the DP or the SP, should remain far from being appropriated by parties that, to their credit, would do well to appear less like patriots and more like working people.
