The Albanian Parliament will launch a television channel. Documents obtained by VNA show that this project will initially cost 500 thousand euros.
The Socialists want to produce their own news on the activities of the Parliament and have an editorial office where they give interviews on the work of MPs.
The proposal was submitted to the Assembly Bureau today.

The Media Room is intended to be an integrated multimedia center within the Parliament of Albania, conceived as a professional "television editorial office", operating permanently and closely cooperating with RTSH for broadcasting on the RTSH Kuvend channel.
For this purpose, it is intended to establish a new directorate (Media-Room) within the Information and Documentation Service, which will have a triple role:
• Informative: to transparently convey parliamentary work to citizens.
• Analytical: to explain legislative processes, reforms and their impacts.
• Educative: to help citizens understand the functions and role of the Assembly.
Initially, it is planned to start work with:
• A reduced editorial structure with minimal staff.
• Production of basic content: live broadcasts, chronicles, interviews.
• Establishment of the editorial, organizational and workflow system.
• Full cooperation with RTSH, for broadcasting and archiving of materials.
The purpose of the parliamentary channel's television programming is to provide a complete, structured and understandable overview of the Assembly's activities to the general public. The programs should be balanced between immediate information, in-depth analysis, civic education and institutional transparency.
There are two main components (1 and 2):
Modern television studio
• Full video/audio production for Parliamentary TV.
• Real-time online archiving and publishing.
• Instant integration with RTSH Kuvend and the Assembly's social platforms.
Public television platform of the Assembly, integrated with AI services
• Live and Multiplatform broadcasts: plenary sessions and committee meetings, with optional commentary, subtitling and sign language.
• Summary and analysis: daily and weekly chronicles, thematic summaries on legislative issues and debates, broadcast on RTSH Kuvend, online and on social networks.
• Indexed Digital Archive.
• Services for Media and Deputies.
• Debates and Interactivity.
• Historical Database and Parliamentary Culture.
• Multimedia and Online Platform.
