The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has stated that he knows businessman Artur Shehu, who was accused today in parliament by Gazment Bardhi of having obtained a building permit from Rama on the seafront after the meeting in Aruba. In a statement to the media, the leader of the Democratic Party was asked if he had gotten into the car with the businessman in question, he neither confirmed nor denied it but said he did not remember.
"Artur Shehu is a Vlora native from a persecuted family, as I have been told, but as you and Çngjëll Agaçi found out, they gave 30 hectares of land as a gift to General Lis, who was imprisoned by the Italian authorities, just to hide the footage of the drug plots. I can't remember if I have ever met him in my life or not, but I neither deny nor affirm it at all, because I know nothing. All of this, Aruba is the problem because a decision was made to send representatives to Aruba, it is said that Agaçi and a minister were there," Berisha said.
We recall that in today's parliamentary session, Gazment Bardhi accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of having connections with businessman Artur Shehu, who according to him obtained a construction permit after a meeting held in Aruba with persons involved in international criminal activities.
