The head of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, has issued strong accusations against the President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, describing him as "Edi Rama's preferred model for state institutions - a man who is controlled and corrupted."
According to Bardhi, President Begaj's wealth is suspicious and will become the subject of a criminal report.
"The president is the only person in the world who buys his brother a house with money earned in emigration, while his mother and father sell him another one for only 2 million old lek. While working in the army, he has privatized army properties without any compensation," declared Bardhi.
He further added that President Begaj is currently "building 3 villas", emphasizing that the opposition has collected information and evidence on these issues.
"All of these are stories for which we will file criminal charges against the president," said Bardhi.
The head of the parliamentary group said they have launched a movement demanding Begaj's dismissal.
