The DP has large numbers, but this is also measured by the trust it conveys. Victory is shared, despite the fact that we may have different opinions - with these words, Ilir Alimehmeti sealed the final self-criticism and appeared publicly alongside Sali Berisha, during the Speech organized in the Kombinat area in Tirana.
With this exit, Alimehmeti was finally eliminated from a movement where he appeared as a protagonist, demanding changes in the way the DP was organized.
For his part, the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, focused on the political situation in the country and the prospects of the opposition, stating that the Democrats are "at the true dawn of an inevitable victory in the battles of the Albanian opposition." Berisha tried to encourage his supporters, describing the current moment as decisive for the confrontation with the government.
"We will die, we will live, we will overthrow Edi Rama," was the leitmotif that accompanied the entire meeting, amidst the cheers of the supporters present. At the end of the speech, the leaders of the DP called on the democrats to participate en masse in the national protest called by the Democratic Party on January 24, which is expected to be another test of strength for the opposition.
