The high-security prison in Peqin has become the scene of a clash between two detainees with family ties to well-known names in the criminal world. At the center of the conflict are Julian Gjoshi, the brother-in-law of Altin Hajri, and Vullnet Muça, the brother of Aleksandër Laho, otherwise known as "Rrumi i Shijakut".
The incident is reported to have occurred about a week ago, in the common areas of the penitentiary institution, where the two detainees were involved in a verbal conflict that later escalated into physical violence.
According to sources, Julian Gjoshi approached Vullnet Muça and hit him, while the circumstances and motives of the collision still remain unclear.
The incident has come to the attention of prison authorities and, according to the same sources, the case has been referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
The clash receives special attention due to the family ties of the people involved. Julian Gjoshi is the brother-in-law of Altin Hajri, a name known to the justice system, while Vullnet Muça is the brother of Aleksandër Laho, known as “Rrumi i Shijakut”.
The latter is a character mentioned in several sensational criminal files and survived the assassination attempt that occurred near the Shkozet overpass, where one person was killed and two others were injured, one of them the DP MP, Arjan Ndoja.
Meanwhile, Vullnet Muça is under indictment by SPAK for alleged involvement in a large-scale property alienation scheme in the Lalzi Bay area. His brother, Aleksandër Laho, is also included as a defendant in the same case.
At the moment, there is no information that the conflict in Peqin prison is related to clashes or criminal cases of persons with whom the two detainees have family ties.
It remains to be seen what specifically caused the incident and whether further measures will be taken against the people involved.
