Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a strong warning to Iran, stating that any potential attack on Israel will receive a much harsher response than in previous clashes.
During a conference in Dimona, a city in the Israeli desert near the country's nuclear reactor, Netanyahu said Israel is prepared for any scenario and called on the Iranian leadership not to count on a reaction similar to the previous one.
"We are prepared for any scenario. I say to Iran's leaders: Do not expect calm if you attack us. Do not expect a repeat of what happened before, because this time the response will be completely different and much more powerful," Netanyahu said.
He stressed that Israel will not tolerate attacks on its territory, adding that "the days when someone hurts us and we don't respond twice as hard are over."
Netanyahu added that Israel has acted in the same way towards what he called the "Axis of Evil" led by Iran and that it will continue to react forcefully to any threat against the country's security.
