A pilot for the British company Ravenair has attracted attention in the United Kingdom after writing the message "I'm bored" in the sky during a two-hour test flight, using the plane's trajectory.
According to data from the Flightradar24 platform, the plane took off from Liverpool and flew over the border area between England and Wales for about 20 minutes, clearly forming words on the flight map.
Ravenair explained that it was a test flight, as the plane had an engine cylinder replaced and needed to verify its operation. Operations manager Wayne Barrett humorously said that the pilot “maybe was a little nervous,” but added that the maneuver required considerable piloting skill.
The plane was found to be completely safe for further flights and the pilot will not face any disciplinary action. “The plane has returned to the hangar and the pilot is now on his day off,” Barrett said.
It's not the first time pilots have used flight paths to send messages. In 2020, a pilot in Austria wrote the message "Stay Home" in the sky during the COVID-19 pandemic.
