The owner of the Delta company, Luan Muça, who was arrested on suspicion of extortion against Vasil Bedinaj, refutes the allegations of extortion by the owner of the Rexhina hotel chain before investigators.
Vasil Bedinaj told investigators that Luan Muça fined him millions of euros and threatened to leave Albania within 48 hours. But Muça states that these claims are fabrications. He has emphasized that the conflict between them is related to a property in Palasa, where he accuses Bedinaj of having benefited through forgery.
Luan Muça's allegations before investigators
Police sources explain to VNA that before investigators, Luan Muça claimed that he was informed that citizen Vasil Bedinaj had obtained a development permit in the Palasa area, for a property that is his, but this property overlaps with the property of citizen Vasil Bedinaj.
The owner of the Delta company, Luan Muça, according to sources, has addressed the AZHT by depositing the legal documentation he had for the overlapping property. Sources indicate that the AZHT, after administering the complaint, stated that the documentation will be verified and, in case of overlap, it will be proceeded according to the law, since in cases where verifications result in overlapping ownership, the entities are not provided with a permit.
Regarding this issue, he stated that he received a call from citizen Vasil Bedinaj, who asked him to meet and discuss this problem.
Businessman Muça claims that he went to the meeting only with citizens Mandrit and Klaudio Lleshaj and that when they met with Vasili, he was insulted by the family members of the house. This is where the conflict started, but Luani did not see anything, as he went outside the resort's interior.
Regarding the incident with the police, he stated that Mandriti was overcome with anxiety when he was stopped by the police.
Regarding the firearm found in the Range Rover with license plate AM001AM, a car that was involved in an accident while leaving the premises of the Rexhina resort, Luan Muça emphasizes that it belongs to citizen Mandrit Lleshaj and that he possesses it with permission.
He further explains that during the conflict he saw a person on Vasil Bedinaj's side, and says that as far as he could tell he was armed.
"Vasil Bedinaj's claim for a 5 million euro fine from me is a fabrication," concludes Muça.
