A large-scale fire engulfed the city of Himara on Friday evening, creating a difficult situation for residents and firefighters.
The flames have spread rapidly in the hills near the "1 Maji" neighborhood, approaching residential areas and endangering the areas with trees located in this part of the city.
Faced with the created situation, residents of Himara have also come out to the field, helping the firefighting forces in their efforts to isolate and bring the flames under control.
The intervention is being made more difficult by the strong wind, which favors the spread of the fire and makes the work of the teams on the ground more difficult. For this reason, the firefighters have also requested the support of firefighting forces from neighboring municipalities.
The situation remains critical, as forces on the ground continue efforts to prevent the flames from spreading to homes and other residential areas.
