While representing Mirlinda Karcanaj, suspected of being part of the criminal group led by Ergys Agasi and Ermal Beqiri, who are the most wanted people in the justice system at the moment, Prime Minister Edi Rama said that the former director of AKSH was living in a rented apartment.
SPAK investigations have revealed that the former head of AKSH has hidden three assets of considerable value, a villa in Qerret i Kavajës and two apartments. The investigations have shed light on the fact that the assets are indirectly owned by Karcanaj. While her former deputy, Hava Delibashi, is also suspected of indirectly owning an apartment, which she has not declared.
The assets were discovered as SPAK is investigating the criminal group operating within AKSHI, when through hostage-taking, threats and blackmail, various businessmen were forced to withdraw from tenders.
As part of this investigation, the assets of the officials involved are being verified, while a search was also conducted in two villas belonging to Ergys Agas and 1 villa belonging to Beqiri in a luxury complex in Palasa.
