Iranian hackers claim to have launched a cyberattack on Albania's highest judicial institutions. According to them, they have penetrated the systems of the Supreme Court and the General Prosecutor's Office.
They have been distributing messages and links on the Telegram social network, and the group calling itself “Homeland Justice” claims that “the cyber networks of the Albanian judicial system have been hacked” and that “all documents” are now in their possession. They also claim that the attack is a response to Albanian authorities’ cooperation with the Iranian organization the People’s Mujahedin of Iran (MEK), which the group considers hostile.
One of the messages states that this is "just the beginning of a new chapter," hinting at further cyberattacks.
However, the Supreme Court has reacted by rejecting these claims. According to official sources, the system of this institution has not been compromised and there is no evidence that its data has been breached.
