Residents of Rrjoll protested this Monday in front of the Parliament, opposing what they consider a violation of property rights. With banners in their hands and public calls for a reaction from the institutions, they demanded more transparency and protection of their assets.
Protesters said they will not give up their land, which they consider their only source of livelihood. “They are stealing our land,” was one of the main messages, while a citizen raised concerns about the functioning of institutions, questioning the Prime Minister’s statements on property documentation.
Residents accused development projects of being implemented without transparency and to their detriment, describing them as “daylight robbery.” They also leveled accusations against former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, demanding an investigation by the justice system and highlighting the lack of justice in their cases.
Residents from Durrës, who oppose the TID project, also joined the protest. In their banners, they described the AADF project as corrupt and demanded its immediate halt.
