Erion Veliaj's clash with special prosecutor Olsi Dado has ended at the courts. The Administrative Court has announced that it will review tomorrow, at 1:00 PM, the lawsuit filed by the mayor of Tirana for the invalidity of the appointment of Olsi Dado as prosecutor.
Even Erion Veliaj, who has not appeared in his court hearings at the GJKKO with the argument that he is reading about 300 pages a day from his file, seems to be interrupting this process tomorrow to appear in person at the Administrative Court.
Through the lawsuit, he seeks the absolute invalidity of the Decree of the President of the Republic No. 5936, dated 17.11.2008, appointing Mr. Ols Dado to the position of Prosecutor of the Republic of Albania. The case is being examined by Judge Hazbi Balliu at the Administrative Court.
Ols Dado is the special prosecutor who investigated and indicted Erion Veliaj on 13 criminal charges. Since the moment he signed the mayor's arrest warrant, the prosecutor in question has become a "shooting target" for Veliaj's pro-media, with articles attacking, insulting and analyzing his career in detail, while recently the manner in which he was appointed several years ago has also been questioned.
