In Vlora...voting by candlelight. This photo was taken a few minutes before the official closing time at one of the polling stations at the "Mustafa Qemal Ataturk" high school. As can be seen from the photo, citizens voted in the dark.
Meanwhile, at 6:00 PM, the official voting hours for local elections in five municipalities in the country closed.
Voting centers in Mat, Cërrik, Berat, Vlorë and Tepelena opened at 07:00 this morning.
The CEC decided that voting would close at 6:00 PM and not 7:00 PM as is tradition in elections, due to the season we are in.
