As they were heading towards Tirana in a Benz vehicle with license plates AB 099UO, the perpetrators in another car ambushed them and shot them with a barrage of bullets, killing Gilmando Dani, who was a passenger, on the spot, while the driver Muçi Shaljani (Sheqeri) was seriously injured.
