The Israeli army continued to violate the ceasefire agreement, which came into effect on October 10, by intensifying airstrikes and artillery strikes on four cities in the Gaza Strip, as well as increasing the destruction of homes and other facilities.
According to eyewitnesses, the Israeli army has carried out dozens of airstrikes since the morning east of the cities of Rafah and Khan Younis, in the south of the Gaza Strip, in areas it controls under the ceasefire agreement.
The airstrikes also affected parts of the At-Tuffah and Shujaiyya neighborhoods in eastern Gaza City, which, according to the ceasefire agreement, are under Israeli control.
The airstrikes were also accompanied by the destruction of homes and buildings with explosive devices, as well as continuous intense artillery strikes, including in the eastern city of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.
According to the AA correspondent, the bombing and destruction carried out by the Israeli army in Gaza have accelerated even further in recent days, while many military vehicles have advanced hundreds of meters into areas from which the Israeli army had withdrawn east of Gaza City, according to the ceasefire agreement.
This advance of military equipment has caused the displacement of hundreds of people from the Shujaiyya and Tuffah neighborhoods, out of fear that Israeli bombardment will continue as the army expands its control.
Since the start of Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, more than 69,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed and over 170,000 others injured. The UN estimates that the cost of reconstruction is around $70 billion. /Trt World/
