US President Donald Trump marked one year since his return to the White House, focusing mainly on immigration policies, which he described as one of the main achievements of his second term.
During a press conference, Trump said that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested about 10,000 undocumented people in Minnesota, whom he described as “criminals and illegal immigrants.” The president also showed photos of the detainees as evidence of the increased enforcement.
In his speech, Trump also highlighted the support he says he has from the Hispanic community, praising their economic contributions. He briefly touched on foreign policy issues, including Venezuela, and confirmed his attendance at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
On the economic front, the president described the US economy as the strongest in the world, while acknowledging that his administration faces criticism for the rising cost of living. In conclusion, Trump said that his administration will continue its immigration and trade policies in the years to come.
