United States President Donald Trump has reacted to the protests taking place in Iran, encouraging citizens to continue protesting against the government.
In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump calls on protesters to take over institutions and preserve the names of the killers who will pay the price in the end.
"Iranian patriots, keep protesting – take control of your institutions!!! Preserve the names of the murderers and abusers. They will pay a high price."
He also adds that he has taken diplomatic measures against Tehran.
"I have canceled all meetings with Iranian officials until the senseless killing of protesters stops. Help is on the way."
Trump's reaction is in line with his support for Iranian citizens, where massive protests against the government are facing harsh repression, while the international community is following developments in the country with concern.
