An evacuation plane organized by the French government was forced to turn back mid-flight due to rocket fire in the region, the news was confirmed by French Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot.
According to him, it is an Air France plane chartered by the French government to repatriate French citizens who were in the United Arab Emirates. The flight had departed to pick up French citizens in the Gulf area, but during the operation it was forced to turn back for security reasons.
"An Air France plane chartered by the government to return to France our compatriots who were in the United Arab Emirates was forced to turn back this evening due to the launch of missiles in the area," Tabarot declared.
The event comes at a time when tensions in the Middle East have escalated significantly, with missile and drone attacks on several countries in the region, forcing various countries to organize evacuation operations for their citizens.
