More than 450 people have been arrested in London during a protest organized by the Palestine Action group, which has been officially banned in the United Kingdom.
According to authorities, the group has previously carried out violent attacks, caused extensive damage, and is considered a threat to national security.
On Saturday, hundreds of people gathered to protest in the square in front of Parliament to continue throughout the day with the crowds growing.
According to the Police, a significant number of people were carrying banners expressing open support for "Palestine Action".
"The right to protest is guaranteed, but this is quite different from showing support for a banned organisation. Palestine Action has been declared illegal after advice from security structures, due to the serious attacks it has carried out," said British Home Secretary Yvette Cooper.
