Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the military to carry out "powerful attacks" in Gaza, following his accusations that Hamas has violated the ceasefire agreement.
On the other hand, the Gaza Government Media Office has accused Israel of 125 ceasefire violations since October 10, including the killing of 94 Palestinians.
The UN expert on the occupied territories, Francesca Albanese, told Al Jazeera that the ceasefire announced on October 11 "has not stopped the onslaught on Gaza", as Israel has continued to kill, starve and displace the population.
According to her, since the US-brokered ceasefire came into effect, about 100 Palestinians have been killed and 350 injured.
Albanese called it "absurd" for the international community to applaud a "peace plan" that, according to her, "respects neither human rights nor international law."
