The Israeli Air Force has launched an attack on the Gaza Strip, specifically in the Rafah area, following allegations that Hamas has violated the ceasefire agreement, The Times of Israel reports.
According to the Israeli military (IDF), Hamas militants have carried out attacks on Israeli troops using grenade launchers and sniper fire, in an act they describe as a "brazen violation" of the ceasefire.
On the other hand, a senior Hamas official has denied the allegations, stressing that the group remains committed to the agreement.
On Friday, the IDF reported an incident in which gunmen opened fire on Israeli soldiers in Rafah, but caused no casualties. Later, the military said it had struck another armed group near Khan Younis, adding that it would continue to act to “neutralize any immediate threat.”
