War shakes Turkey again and brings fear to Europe. A ballistic missile launched by Iran was destroyed by NATO defenses in the eastern Mediterranean, but some of the munitions later fell in Turkey's southeastern province of Gaziantep.
The announcement came from the Turkish Defense Ministry, which specified that there were no casualties or injuries. Initial reports suggest that the missile was aimed at the Incirlik military airfield in southern Turkey. Addressing Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, the ministry added: “Turkey attaches great importance to good neighborly relations and regional stability. However, we reiterate that any direct threat to our territory or airspace will be countered with all necessary measures, taken decisively and without hesitation.”
Meanwhile, a few days ago, Turkey accused Iran of launching a missile towards its territory, but the government in Tehran denied being the author of the attack.
