Hunter Biden has responded sharply to a legal threat from First Lady Melania Trump's lawyer, who asked him to retract statements linking him to Jeffrey Epstein. Following the release of a letter from lawyer Alejandro Brito warning of a $1 billion defamation lawsuit, Biden said: "F** that! That's not happening," adding that he welcomes the idea of Melania and Donald Trump sitting in on a deposition regarding their relationship with Epstein.
The letter came after an interview in which Hunter, citing journalist Michael Wolff and previous New York Times reporting, said Epstein had introduced Trump to Melania. The First Lady's lawyer called the claim "false, defamatory and damaging."
In a new interview with YouTuber Andrew Callaghan, Biden said he has done nothing but rely on documented media sources and that threats of lawsuits are “simply an attempt to divert attention.” He stressed that the main issue remains the connection of dozens of well-known figures to Epstein’s crimes and that a trial would bring the truth to light.
"If I am indicted, the First Lady and most likely the president will have to testify. Based on the legal precedent 'Clinton vs. Jones,' even the president is not exempt from testifying," Hunter Biden said.
