Two Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in the West Bank, despite having surrendered. The incident has made headlines around the world and sparked strong international reactions.
The two men were exiting a building in Jenin, lifting their shirts to show they were not carrying explosives and with their hands up in surrender. After Israeli soldiers ordered them back inside, they were shot immediately.
A Reuters journalist reported seeing the bodies of two victims, identified by Palestinian authorities as 26-year-old al-Muntasir Abdullah and 37-year-old Yousef Asasa, on the ground.
Palestinians have called the event a "cold-blooded execution," while comments on social media have described it as a "clean execution."

In a statement, the Israeli Army (IDF) said the operation in Jenin was aimed at capturing individuals wanted for suspected terrorist activities, but added that the incident was being reviewed by commanders on the ground and would be passed on to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
However, according to Palestinians and human rights organizations, Israeli investigations into such episodes rarely result in criminal accountability.
