Towards the end of the conflict, Vance: US has achieved its goals in Iran

The US administration believes that the objectives of the military operation against Iran have been met and it is time to begin ending the conflict.

US Vice President Jay Dee Vance said this on Fox News.

"I really think we've reached a point where our mission has been accomplished. We can start to finish this," he said.

At the same time, Vance stressed that he would prefer to end the conflict through "successful negotiations."

He also touched on the issue of Iran's nuclear program, which "is a source of concern in the United States":

“So we would like to completely remove this material (enriched uranium) from the country so that it is under the control of the United States… It is one thing for the Iranians to say they have no intention of having a nuclear weapon, it is another thing for us to create a mechanism to ensure that this does not happen. Of course, ensuring that they do not have the ability to enrich uranium is part of that.”

It should be noted that on April 11-12, negotiations between Iran and the United States, mediated by Pakistan, took place in Islamabad. The lengthy discussions ended without reaching an agreement.
