Following reports in the Czech media that several prisoners accused of plotting to assassinate former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro have been released, the identity of one of them, who is an Albanian citizen, has been learned.
The Albanian Embassy in Brazil has confirmed that this is an Albanian citizen with the initials JN, who, after his release, is currently with the Red Cross in Venezuela, awaiting authorization to return to Albania.
According to the official announcement, the Albanian diplomatic mission is in constant contact with the relevant authorities and is following the procedures for the Albanian citizen's travel permit to the country.
The embassy has also announced that it is in communication with JN's family, who have managed to speak to him by phone after his release.
