At least six people have been injured after an Iranian missile attack on Tel Aviv, Israeli media reported, citing emergency services.
According to reports, the attack was carried out with a rocket equipped with cluster bombs, with 3-4 submunitions and about 100 kilograms of explosives. The strike in a central area of the city caused extensive damage to buildings and vehicles, while parts of the rocket also fell in the Rosh Ha'ayin area, east of the city.
Following this attack, the Israeli military (IDF) responded by striking missile launchers and military infrastructure in western Iran, according to Israeli media.
Israel has also expanded its military operations in Lebanon. Lebanese state media reported that seven airstrikes were carried out overnight in the southern suburbs of Beirut, hitting several residential areas.
Iranian media reports that a university professor, along with his two children, were killed in an airstrike north of Tehran. The victim has been identified as Saeed Shamaghdari, a lecturer at a technical university in Iran.
