A strong warning was issued by Mohsen Rezaei, a former commander of the Revolutionary Guard and member of Iran's State Interests Council. He stated that any attack on Iranian infrastructure will not remain without consequences.
In a statement on state television, Rezaei added that the US would be paralyzed and "drowned in the Persian Gulf", warning US President Donald Trump that "the last days of American survival are ending".
He stressed that "the war will continue until all damages are recovered, all economic sanctions are lifted, and it is ensured that the US no longer interferes in Iran's affairs."
According to Rezaei, this is the decision of the Iranian nation, their leader, and the armed forces.
US President Donald Trump announced that the United States and Iran held “productive talks” over the weekend, and that he would suspend military strikes on Iranian power plants for a five-day period. Meanwhile, the speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, stated in a post on X that there are no negotiations with the United States and that he is not involved in any such talks.
