Turning Albania into a destination for major concerts, which would bring millions to the economy, was the main argument the Albanian government used to justify spending over 4 million euros on a concert that itself failed to sell even half of the tickets.
Now that the concert has ended, despite it being marketed by government officials on social media as a hugely successful concert, talked about in every corner of the world, it seems that this strategy has also failed.
Comments from foreign tourists on social media are positive about the performance of one of the world's greatest artists, but they are very negative about the organization, namely about that element of the activity that was sold as "investment today for millions in income tomorrow."
On Reddit and Instagram, there are many comments that clearly divide Kanye West's performance, which was positively evaluated, from the organization, which was often described as "terrible", "shit", "disaster" or "horrible".
In a discussion on r/tirana, one participant wrote: “The organisation was shit. We were standing for hours in the sun. People were fainting and throwing up.” According to him, most managed to enter only moments before the show started. He adds that even inside the stadium it was difficult to understand where the seats were.
Another user lists numerous problems: “No one knew where to go, since no entrances were marked.” He claims that the entrance opened about an hour and a half late, the concert started over an hour late, the entrances were not signposted, the “fast lane” (priority entrance) did not work, and staff handed out the wrong colored wristbands. According to the comment, tickets were not scanned regularly, and people with photos or fake tickets were able to get into more expensive areas.
An even more critical comment describes the entire experience as a disaster: “Everything from organization till the audio system was a disaster.” The user complains about long lines, only one exit, lack of information from staff, and constant problems with the audio system, which he compares to the static of a broken TV.
Një tjetër komentues shkruan: “The performance was fire but organisation was a disaster especially the entrance.” (Shfaqja ishte mrekulli, por organizimi një katastrofë, sidomos në hyrje). Sipas tij, hyrja zgjati mbi një orë dhe turma ishte aq e dendur sa njerëzit mezi kishin hapësirë për të lëvizur. Megjithatë, ai e cilëson performancën shumë të mirë pasi arriti të ulej.
Në një diskutim tjetër në r/GoodAssSub, organizimi mori vlerësimin 5 nga 10, ndërsa skena, performanca, përzgjedhja e këngëve dhe atmosfera morën 10 nga 10. Problemet kryesore të përmendura ishin konfuzioni me hyrjet, mosfunksionimi i “skip-the-line” (hyrjes me përparësi) dhe gabimet me byzylykët identifikues. Një person me biletë për zonën e zakonshme tha se arriti të hynte në zonën “Gold” vetëm pas një bisede të shkurtër me sigurimin.
Përdoruesit ankohen për radhë të gjata, vetëm një dalje, mungesë informacioni nga stafi dhe probleme të vazhdueshme me sistemin audio, të cilin e krahason me zhurmën statike të një televizori të prishur. Por shumë shpejt, sistemi patronazhistëve, që funksionon perfekt me mediat shqiptare që janë kritike ndaj qeverisë, është u vu në rresht edhe në debatet për koncertet. Madje në krye të tyre është vënë vetë ministri i kulturës, ai që u përpoq as shumë që kjo ngjarje të ishte një suskes i madh, Blendi Gonxhe.
Ministri ka bërë një postim të gjatë në një koment në tik tok, që kërkonte opinione mbi organizimin dhe ku shumica e komentuesve e quanin atë “terrible”.
“Organizimi ishte i keq? Hajde tani! Shikoni Nju Jorkun, Romën dhe aktivitetet e fundit: orë të tëra për të dalë, probleme, vonesa prej 4 orësh, në kryeqytete me dekada përvojë. Çdo aktivitet mund të ketë probleme në hyrje apo në dalje, sidomos me orientimin, por spektakli i Ye në Tiranë nuk mund të cilësohet i keq, as për sa i përket organizimit. Stadiumi dukej magjik; tribunat dhe atmosfera u përmirësuan nga këndi i ulëseve, struktura, vendosja dhe mënyra se si qëndruan 60 mijë spektatorët. U realizua në më pak se 3 muaj, një rekord i çmendur”, shkruan ndër të tjera ministri.
Të tjerë komentues (dukshëm patronazhistë) kanë hyrë në lojë duke hedhur foto dhe shprehje të tilla si “ishte perfekt”, “është një nga ato ngjarje që i përjeton vetëm një herë në jetë”.
Por, pjesëmarrësve në koncert, që e kishin përjetuar vetë organizimin, nuk u është mbushur mendja nga ndërhyrja e ministrit dhe e patronazhistëve. Përkundrazi, reagimi i ministrit ka shkaktuar tallje te disa, që thotë se “Ky është ai që dha 4 milionë euro për koncertin, normal që do e lëvdojë”.
Edhe në postime të tjera komentuesit tallen me ministrin që mbron organizimin e dobët të koncertit.

However, the “important” thing is that the Prime Minister seems satisfied with this event and the spending of 4.3 million euros of the emergency fund, with an even more emergency procedure. It is especially “important” that in the Prime Minister’s mind this is an economic expense and for the country’s economy, regardless of the fact that in reality it is an investment with a very uncertain return. But as always, the Prime Minister will console himself with the argument that just as the people do not understand “its aesthetics”, the same people do not understand “its economy” either. Because in fact, both the first and the second are not in the service of the country.
