The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime has left in force the preventive seizure imposed on the assets of businessman Orest Sota, within the framework of criminal proceedings no. 287/1 of 2021 that is being investigated by SPAK.
With the decision announced this Wednesday, Judge Dhimitër Lara approved the preventive seizure order issued on June 10, 2026 by the GJKKO, dismissing the appeals filed by Orest Sota, his family members and several commercial companies included in the asset insurance measure.
Meanwhile, the Appeal also decided not to accept for review the complaint filed by Orest Sota and one of the commercial companies involved in the procedure.
VNA previously reported that SPAK suspects that some of the seized assets are related to criminal activity and has requested the imposition of preventive seizure to guarantee their confiscation at the end of the process, if the charges are proven in court.
