Kreshnik Tërnova, a member of the Public Procurement Commission, whose name is mentioned in the AKSHI file as having a direct connection to fugitive businessman Ermal Beqiri, is officially under investigation by SPAK.
He is being investigated on charges of "violation of equality in tenders", "corruption" and "false declaration", related to a tender for the Dibra hospital.
The investigations into Tërnovo were launched based on a report by the Supreme State Audit Office, which found serious violations during the audit. The case concerns a tender related to waste disposal.
Tërnova, meanwhile, has also been summoned and questioned as part of the investigation into the AKSHI scandal, where SPAK says it has discovered a criminal group operating within the institution led by Ergys Agasi and Ermal Beqiri, who are on the run.
Meanwhile, the former director of the National Anti-Corruption Agency, Mirlinda Karçanaj, is also being investigated under the obligation to appear.
The criminal group predetermined tenders and ordered the kidnapping of rivals, as was the case with Gerond Meçe, forcing him to give up tenders at AKSHI.
