The renowned Italian newspaper "Gazzetta dello Sport" has dedicated a special article to Edon Zhegrova, praising the Kosovar footballer's performance in the match against Cagliari and criticizing coach Luciano Spalletti's decision to leave him out of Juventus' Europa League squad.
According to the Italian newspaper, Zhegrova was one of the players who changed the rhythm of the black and white team, after being activated by Spalletti at a moment when Juventus needed more danger in attack. "Juventus' only light in the darkness of Cagliari has only one name, Zhegrova," writes "Gazzetta dello Sport", emphasizing that with his entry into the field, the team returned to the game and became more threatening near the opposing goal.
The Italian media calls the decision to leave the Kosovar out of UEFA's list a "shame", especially after the club's attempts to get him off the market during the summer. According to them, the choice of Spalletti now looks like a mistake, while the arguments to justify it are few.
However, despite his absence from the UEFA list, Zhegrova will be an alternative for Juventus in the Italian championship matches. "Even if he is not on the UEFA list, he is ready to make his contribution in Serie A whenever the team needs him," the newspaper emphasizes.
Juventus will face Celta Vigo in the Europa League, a challenge for which Spalletti will not have the Kosovar footballer available.
