Prime Minister Edi Rama has made another attempt to invite students and professors to a dialogue, but this time the protesters' response has been the same. The chairs placed in front of the Prime Minister's Office have been thrown down again, symbolically rejecting the head of government's invitation.
Just like the day before, Rama had brought out chairs in front of the government building, inviting all those who wanted to discuss with him. But the protesters, instead of sitting down for dialogue, moved the chairs away, repeating the same action.
On the ninth day of the revolt, students and professors continue to insist on demanding the prime minister's resignation, indicating that they have no intention of accepting his offer for talks.
While Rama continues to offer chairs for dialogue, protesters continue to reject his invitation, turning this symbolic confrontation into another episode of tensions between the government and the youth.
