The Constitutional Court is expected to announce today, at 11:15, the decision regarding the case of virtual minister Diella, following the request submitted by the opposition to repeal the provisions of two presidential decrees.
The opposition has requested that the Constitutional Court declare incompatible with the Constitution Article 2 of Decree No. 331, dated September 12, 2025, “On the Appointment of the Prime Minister”, as well as Article 1, point 1, second sentence, of Decree No. 333, dated September 15, 2025, “On the Appointment of the Council of Ministers”.
At the center of the constitutional review is the inclusion of virtual minister Diella in the composition of the government and the compatibility of the relevant provisions of the decrees with the Constitution of the Republic of Albania.
The Constitutional Court's decision is expected to determine whether the contested provisions will remain in force or be repealed, as requested by the opposition.
