The fire situation continues to remain difficult in the Ungrej Administrative Unit, in the Kashnjet area, where firefighting forces have been dealing with active fires for four days.
Due to strong winds, a large fire has spread to the forest area of the village of Rras, approaching the village cemetery and church and placing them in serious danger.
The intervention has already been focused on the area near the church, where firefighters are working to isolate the hearth and prevent further advance of the flames.
The situation in Kashnje has been ongoing for four days, while several vehicles and firefighting forces from the Lezha Municipality have been deployed to the field. Efforts to extinguish the fires have been made more difficult in recent days due to the conditions on the ground.
Strong winds favor the rapid spread of flames, while difficult terrain makes the intervention of firefighting vehicles and forces more complicated.
Field work continues to keep the fires under control and avoid danger to other surrounding facilities and areas.
